Habits

Uncommon. It inhabits the undergrowth of humid forest (frequently where there are stands of bamboo), secondary woodland and forest edge. In some areas such as the state of Rio de Janeiro it is restricted to mountainous regions. It is difficult to see except when males are displaying to the females during the breeding season.

Distribution

Encontrado exclusivamente no Brasil, do sul de Minas Gerais e Rio de Janeiro ao sul de São Paulo.
